- 1 cup Brown Sugar
- 1/2 cup Butter
- 1/2 cup Milk
- 2 Eggs
- 11/4 cup Flour
- 1 tsp. Baking Powder
- 1/4 tsp. Baking Soda
- 1 cup Chocolate Chips
- Vanilla Ice Cream (if desired)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- Grease a 9×13 pan
- In a large saucepan, combine 1 cup brown sugar, 1/2 cup butter, and 1/2 cup milk
- Heat just to boiling
- Cool to room temperature
- Pour butter mixture into a medium mixing bowl
- Beat 2 eggs into the butter mixture
- Add 1 1/4 cup flour, 1 teaspoon baking powder, 1 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- Beat well
- Spread in a 9×13 pan
- Sprinkle with 1 cup chocolate chips
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, until golden brown and firm in the middle
- Eat plan or top with vanilla ice cream
