Thanksgiving wouldn't be the same if there were no leftovers, right? You wait all year for the tasty side dishes and fresh roasted turkey so you better believe you'll be eating it for days afterwards.

But it's how you eat those leftovers that's important. Just having the same Thanksgiving style plate for a few days can get a little boring, so creating some turkey leftover hacks is needed.

Mac and cheese is always adaptable and this stuffing topped Mac and cheese is a perfect way to use leftovers. Chicken pot pie is another classic dish that can be turned into a leftover hero.

Slider buns are a fun way to feed a crowd with minimal fuss, just layer the ingredients, place the top back on and bake in the oven until golden! So easy.

Making these leftover turkey sliders

  • You'll need cranberry sauce, turkey and provolone for these turkey sliders. A side of gravy is also great for dipping the sliders into.
  • Spread the cranberry sauce thinly on top of the buns, too much and they become soggy.
  • You can use white meat or dark meat, just make sure it's evenly layered.
  • I used Provolone but you could use any good melting cheese such as mozzarella or Monterey Jack.
  • When baking slider sandwiches, the top always needs brushed with butter. I added a mixture of poppy seeds and dried thyme to kick up the flavor.
  • Bake them in the oven until they become a deep golden color. To serve use a sharp knife to cut them into squares and serve with a side of gravy for dipping.
