Extra cheesy Annie's Four Cheese Macaroni and Cheese with leftover BBQ pork rib meat mixed in. The ultimate comfort food made easy!
The most genius thing you will ever do with your Father’s Day BBQ leftovers. There’s lots of holidays I like to celebrate throughout the year but if I had to choose a favorite, It would be Father’s Day.
Even more than your own birthday I hear you gasp, are you crazy? and the answer would be yes to the favorite and no to the crazy.
Usually on my birthday I’ll celebrate with a rare date night but on Father’s Day I much prefer to include the kids and spend the whole day together as a family. Sometimes we’ll end up at the beach or maybe on a hike somewhere in the mountains with a picnic.
Other times it ends up being just as fun being at home and grilling up something tasty.
Ribs are one of my favorite things to grill and I always make too much. The leftover ribs can easily be eaten for lunch the next day but why not combine them with one of the most already popular dishes around, macaroni and cheese for a whole new meal experience!
Both of my kids inhaled this recipe. And since today, Monday, is the day after Father’s Day, what better way to put our grilled leftovers to use than to celebrate Annie’s weekly mac & cheese #MixInMonday?
We choose Annie’s Four Cheese Mac & Cheese as the base because it’s loaded with cheese and flavor, this is the best yet. As with all of Annie’s products, the mac & cheese is completely free of preservatives, synthetic colors or fake flavors.
It tastes like cheese because it is cheese, and if you add the leftover BBQ pork meat you get a hefty protein kick for lunch.
Adding ketchup to my mac & cheese is something I used to do as a kid and when Annie’s sent me some of their new organic ketchup, I knew that I’d be using it not just to make the BBQ sauce but also as a dollop on top of my mac. Just like I did when I was six!
