FAQ's about making my easy cheesy garlic bread
What is the best bread to use? I would highly recommend good quality French style bread. Skip the cheaper white French loaves at the store, they don't have much flavor.
Does the mayonnaise taste strange after baking? Not at all, it just makes the topping even creamier when mixed with the melted cheddar.
Do you wrap the bread in foil before baking? You can but I prefer to bake just on a sheet pan. This method helps the bread become more golden and the outside of the bread, crusty and chewy.
If you wrap the bread in foil, it'll be softer.
Can I use garlic powder? You can but the flavor of fresh minced garlic is much better. Use minced garlic in a jar and save yourself some time if you use garlic a lot like I do.
