Easy Fudge Style Chocolate Brownies

These chocolate brownies have a crinkle top with a soft fudge center! Easy to make and way too easy to eat!

  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 4 ounces unsalted butter
  • 4 ounces vegetable shortening
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup all purpose flour


  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Grease a 9x9 inch baking pan with non stick spray and line with parchment paper making sure to leave an overhang on two sides.
  • Using a double boiler melt the butter, shortening and chocolate and then set aside to slightly cool.
  • Beat the eggs and the sugar for 3-4 minutes and the mixture becomes a pale yellow color and thick.
  • Fold the melted chocolate mixture into the egg batter and then fold in the flour until no lumps are visible.
  • Pour the batter into your prepared pan and bake in the oven for 40 minutes.
  • Let cool before cutting into squares.
