Say hello to your new summer fun drink, who doesn't love a good ice cream coke float? You have to make these for your next backyard barbecue, but be careful because they go down on the easy side.
Am I a bad person for bringing you tequila, Coca Cola and ice cream all in the same glass? I thought not, so here you go. Picture sitting in the sun, maybe in a hammock with an ice cold Coke float in your hand. Sounds amazing right?
And by adding tequila you just elevated this famous diner drink into an easy to make fun cocktail. I can't wait for summer. I'll be going on a bunch of cool trips, and we'll also be starting some construction on the house with a brand new office and studio space.
Along with blowing out some windows to let in tons more of that bright California sunshine and an outdoor kitchen for summer cooking things are gettin' busy!
The Coke Float has been around forever, It's a classic American diner drink that adults and kids love. In fact when I shot these I made two versions, one with tequila and one without.
Once I was done I showed the booze free floats to my kids who must have thought their dad was nuts. It's really rare that they get to drink Coke so when I offered them a tall glass filled with vanilla ice cream, they almost lost it!
My son drank his in record time, maybe sub 10 seconds. Nothing new there. Come on summer, hurry up already!
