This week has been a busy one. Well actually every week is busy but this one included travel. Airports suck.

I’ve been in Chicago attending BlogHer Food, which is probably the biggest get together of like-minded food loving people under one roof. It’s been great to catch up with old friends and meet those other “virtual” friends in person.

The food has been fantastic, some of my favorite eats this past weekend have been Formentos for the best Italian recipes I’ve ever tasted, The Purple Pig (housemade pork hot dog) and no food trip is ever complete without a donut run. Do-Rite Donuts didn’t disappoint, I highly recommend the Sweet Heat Fried Chicken Glazed Donut Sandwich– for complete reals!

Have toddlers and you want to eat out? Bev from Bev Cooks tells us how we should do it in 5 easy steps, number four I can relate to.

Thanksgiving is around the corner friends, are you a planner or will you be buying your frozen turkey the day before? Please say no. If your giblets are still icy, follow these tips for some heroic turkey cooking and pulling off the immposible.

Would you ever name your appliances? Seems like some Chef’s think it’s a cool thing to do.

Recipes that have made me do a double take this week-

Spicy Mexican Lasagna Roll Ups – These!

Slow Cooker Enchilada Soup

Have a great week friends!
