I hope everyone had a really great Christmas day. Santa Claus made it to our house, scarfed the cookie’s and dropped the presents, making for two insanely excited kids in the morning!

Wrapping paper was torn off and thrown high in the air like underwear at a Tom Jones concert and it wasn’t long before I had to bring out my Swiffer. Seriously people, what is wrong with me? I’m not the only one right?..someone please tell me that serial vacuuming is just fine!

Here are my top five picks of 2012 posts. As much as I love making the food for each and every one of my posts, these five tasted golden. Thanks to everyone who finds time to stop by and read Foodness Gracious, I really appreciate your support and priceless comments. It’s been a fast and busy 2012 and I can’t wait to share more exciting stuff with all of you in 2013. Take care!

Braised Short Ribs– These were so tender and just melted in the mouth. The perfect dish for a cold day!

Pumpkin Waffles with Bacon Maple Butter– Yes that does say butter with maple syrup and bacon, enough said.

Potato Chip Brownies– Chocolate and chips do belong together, salty and sweet mixed through a sinful brownie.
Roasted Beet Salad– Mixed with candied pecans and creamy Roquefort cheese, these beets are easy to eat all on their own.
Salted Chocolate Caramel Cookies– Double chocolate cookies studded with caramel candy chunks. You can add anything you like to this cookie mixture if caramel doesn’t make you want to eat twelve of these.
