See how much fun you can have in The Hamptons, especially when you visit with some like-minded food bloggers!

When I clicked on an email titled “Hamptons Blogger Retreat” I was sure it’d be some kind of spam, but it wasn’t! I was invited to spend a long weekend with some great friends at a retreat in The Hamptons, to recharge, bounce ideas and eat.

Yeah we got to eat…a lot!

The weekend started in New York City, I missed the first night where everyone ate at Fig and Olive but I heard amazing stories about the food and the atmosphere. This was my first time in NYC and as quick as it was, I still managed a stroll in Central Park and ate Bacon Beignets with Salted Caramel Sauce for breakfast at Villard!

We stayed at Lotte New York Palace Hotel, the views are stunning and my room overlooked St Patrick’s Cathedral. The room was huge and super comfortable and the brunch at Villard, the hotel’s restaurant was incredible. We tried everything on the menu but these beignets did it for me. Get them and don’t share!

Before we hit the road for The Hamptons, we had lunch (more food) at Mamo, a cute Italian restaurant with so many fresh pasta dishes that you’d easily think you were in a roadside cafe somewhere in Rome!

The Truffle pizza was indescribable, so many ooo’s and ahhh’s from everyone when they tasted it, and the smell of those truffles was intoxicating!

Finally we made it to our house for the weekend and I’m not sure if the word “house” does it any justice. This place was breathtaking. We totally made the most of it with the kitchen and the game room being the two most used places as well as the amazing outdoor eating area.

It was here that Chef Renee Blackman cooked for us. Between epic cocktails and course after course of food, she spoiled us rotten!

These were some of the juiciest teriyaki chicken skewers I have ever tasted!

A short drive from the house was Union Cantina, a fantastic Mexican restaurant that we visited and everything on the menu was amazing…surprise! Definitely order the jalapeño margaritas and the smoky shrimp!

We had so many generous sponsors who made this trip possible, Dellalo being one of them and providing enough charcuterie treats to keep us going for a week! Other amazing sponsors were Sabra, Halo Top Ice Cream, Vital Farms, Green Giant, Lorissa’s Kitchen and Nespresso. Huge thanks to these brands for making the weekend as special as it was!

Thanks to Lexi from Lexi’s Clean Kitchen, Gina from Skinnytaste and Liz from The Lemon Bowl for organizing such an epic adventure!! I had such a great time just relaxing with like-minded people.

Now how do I find an excuse to return, especially to that giant house!!
