The traditional Arnold Palmer drink we all love but with a twist of white wine added. This is the perfect drink for a slow summers day on the deck!
I had never even heard of an Arnold Palmer until I moved to the U.S.
Growing up playing golf though my initial thought was about the man who I watched play that game, a true legend. So when I watched my wife order an Arnold Palmer whenever we went to a restaurant, I thought I gotta try that!
And being a serious lover of all things lemon it was totally my jam! Iced tea and lemonade, it's complete genius and goes with anything, but the true test is when it crushes a thirst on a hot summers day.
But let's kick it up a teeny bit. Say we added some white wine, like a full bottle and then some honey just to elevate the sweetness and give it that tasty but mild honey flavor.
I love to use Pure Leaf Tea but anything similar will work. Now you're interested, right?
Be careful though, it's one of those drinks that can be so easy to drink. Sangria can sneak up on you because it usually tastes fruity and fresh and kinda like juice.
Yeah, this Arnold Palmer Sangria is for sipping on. Maybe with your feet up on the porch watching the kids play in the street, or swinging on a hammock.
Wherever you end up drinking this, I know if you love iced tea and lemonade, then I'm almost sure you'll love it with some white wine. I used Chardonnay but you can add Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Grigio.
Father's Day is this Sunday. Maybe dad would like a glass of this while he's waiting on his BBQ being cooked for him. No hints being dropped at all here, nope none at all!
